Kentucky dog battling cancer makes waves online for love of Honey Buns

SEBREE, KY – Terri Lynn Nunn has made a habit of volunteering her time at the local animal shelter in Webster County. That volunteering led to more than she probably ever anticipated.

Terri Lynn Nunn volunteers weekly at the Webster County Animal Shelter, where she initially bonded with a dog named Beau. Despite Beau’s initial aloofness, he warmed up to Terri after she shared a snack with him. Later, Terri discovered Beau had lymphoma and decided to adopt him. Now living with Terri, Beau enjoys car rides, lounging by the pool, and his favorite treat, Little Debbie snack cakes.

Terri shared Beau’s story online, prompting support from the community and even a special delivery of snacks from Little Debbie. Despite Beau’s uncertain future due to his illness, Terri feels fortunate to provide him comfort and urges others to consider adopting pets from shelters like Beau.
